Libera is an educational platform by Lumina Nigeria Limited. We provide programs, sessions, and an AI teaching assistant to support learning.

2. What personal data means in Libera

Personal data means any information that identifies you directly or indirectly, including your profile details, account identifiers, learning records, communication data, and technical usage data tied to your account or device.

3. Information we collect

We may collect account details (name, email, phone), learning activity (enrollments, progress, assessments, certificates), session interactions, support/contact messages, and technical information (device/browser data, IP, logs) needed to run and secure the platform.

4. How we use your information

We use data to provide the service, personalize learning, send account/security emails, support certificates and progress tracking, improve platform quality, and protect against misuse.

5. Legal bases for processing

Depending on context, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service you requested, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running a safe education platform, or based on your consent where required.

6. AI and program content

Libera’s AI assistant is designed to respond using approved program materials. Messages may be processed to generate responses and improve reliability and safety.

7. Sharing of data

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate Libera (for hosting, email, analytics, and security), and when required by law.

8. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside your country. Where this happens, we apply reasonable contractual and security measures to protect personal information.

We retain personal data only as long as needed for educational operations, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or security. Retention periods vary by data type and account status.

12. Data deletion and leaving Libera

If you want to leave the platform, request account deletion by emailing contact@luminacorp.org from your registered email. We verify ownership before action. Once verified, we delete or anonymize eligible data within a reasonable period and notify you when complete.

13. What may still be retained after deletion

Certain records may be retained where required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, financial/accounting obligations, dispute handling, or academic integrity (for example, proof of completion or certificate issuance records). Retained records are limited to what is necessary.

14. Children and student use

Libera is designed for educational use. Where minors participate through institutions, responsible adults/institutions should ensure lawful consent and supervision as required.

15. Policy updates

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice in the platform.
